There’s speculation on the internet that X, nee Twitter, is in its final days. Arguably, that was inevitable once Elon Musk got his grubby hands on the enterprise, but now that there are reportedly plans to charge all users, it’s kicked into high gear.
So, at this moment, it’s good to remember exactly what makes an A+ tweet. Short, snarky, timely, and maybe a dash of political commentary.
New York Attorney General Tish James *gets* it.
You’ll recall, of course, James filed a civil suit against Donald Trump over allegedly fraudulent business practices. It doesn’t look good for him, and the corporate “death penalty” is on the table. And, as is his wont, he’s taken to rage-posting about the case. Here, James takes Trump’s penchant for using social media to make legal arguments and twisted it to elegant effect.
The comments are, sigh, exactly what you’d expect in the year of our lord 2024. Which is to say lots of butt-hurt Republicans convinced the words will come back to haunt James.
Somehow, it feels like James will have the last laugh.
