If there’s one thing that this fall’s raise race has made clear, it’s that boutique firms are here to play with the big boys. Time and time again, boutique law firms have offered big-time salaries to their associates, proving that they really do their best to spread the wealth, with compensation that’s equal to and often greater than what the Biglaw market has to offer. The next firm we’re about to discuss is no different.
Massumi + Consoli LLP, a Los Angeles-based firm specializing in private equity and M&A deals, recently announced raises for associates. While the firm has yet to announce year-end bonuses, we know that the firm offers a Growth Participation Program (i.e., a “phantom equity” arrangement) that associates participate in as well, which adds even more cash to their compensation. Here’s the firm’s new salary grid, which takes effect January 1, 2024, for all associates.
- Class Year 1 – $225,000
- Class Year 2 – $235,000
- Class Year 3 – $260,000
- Class Year 4 – $310,000
- Class Year 5 – $365,000
- Class Year 6 – $390,000
Congratulations to everyone at MCLLP!
