Baker McKenzie may have been first on the bonus train this year, but Biglaw insiders *know* bonus season hasn’t really begun till Cravath announces their scale. Well friends, the wait is over.
Today, Cravath announced their year-end bonuses. And despite the forecasted economic downturn, it’s a good year in Biglaw.
Interestingly, the class of 2015 is off the scale, which can work out great — or terribly — for associates.
Check out the full email on the next page.
Cravath matched the scale set by Baker McKenzie — which is slightly above the scale from last year for junior associates. And this makes sense. The economic waters are troubled, but they aren’t particularly feisty for Biglaw. Cravath acts from a position of strength to hold the line and declare with Biglaw’s loudest voice, “This too shall pass!”
Even if it passes after some of y’all go under.
Congratulations to associates on the generous bonuses!
